Women’s Tennis improves over the weekend

NORMAL – In their two matches over the weekend the Alabama A&M women's tennis teams made improvements in their matches versus Alabama-Huntsville and Mississippi State.

Junior Jessica Taylor was competitive in her match as she held a 3-1 lead then a 4-2 lead in her first and second singles match vs. the Chargers Aniek Remmerswaal.

On Saturday, February 22, the Bulldogs celebrated deuces day as it was 2/22/14.

The Lady Bulldogs showed grit and improvement in their match against the national ranked Bulldogs of Mississippi State.

"Just getting an opportunity to play is good," head coach Willis Mbandi mentioned. "The weather canceled a few of our matches so these contests are a measuring tool for us."

A&M will return to the courts on February 27, when they travel to Baton Rouge, LA for their first taste of conference action in the SWAC West roundup.
