Goodwin finishes top five at East Roundup

JACKSON – Sophomore Rebecca Goodwin finished in the top five among all Southwestern Athletic Conference bowlers at the conference East Roundup this weekend.

Goodwin achieved a total pin fall of 5,328 which allowed her to finish fourth. Her teammate, Chicago native Camille Collins, placed sixth with 5,243 pin falls over the three day weekend out of the top ten bowlers in the SWAC.

In the high average category Goodwin finished fifth (190.2) while Collins was right behind her in sixth (187.2).

As a team the Lady Bulldog bowlers ended the day in fifth place with a pinfall count at 24,858. Their team average was 887.8 a match.

New Market, Alabama native, Tiffany Stage finished fourth among the top freshman in the league as she averaged a 168.8 in only her second SWAC roundup.

The Maroon & White are currently fifth in the conference standings with an 11-13 record.

Next up they will travel to Nashville, Tenn. on March 7, for their final tune-up before the SWAC championships March 21.
