Lady Bulldogs complete War Eagle Classic

Normal- The Lady Bulldog softball team completed the Auburn University War Eagle Classic this weekend.

The Maroon and White played four games over a three-day period in Auburn, Alabama. The Lady Bulldogs scored seven runs over 23 innings of play in route to a winless tournament outing.

On day one, A&M dropped a 10-4 contest in their second meeting with Savannah State University, before falling to the Ball State Cardinals 12-0 in five innings.

During the second day of competition, the Lady Bulldogs again added two losses to their record, falling 8-3 to Radford University, and 8-0 to IPFW (6 innings).

The Maroon and White were set to take on tournament host, and nationally ranked #23 Auburn University, Sunday afternoon, however, a strong line of storms has been moving through the state of Alabama forcing the final day of the War Eagle Classic to be cancelled.

IPFW and Radford's game at 9 a.m., as well as Ball State and Savannah State's game at 11 a.m. was cancelled as well. No make-up games have been scheduled at this time.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to the field, in pursuit of another victory on March 21, in Longview, Texas at the SWAC Round up. This will be the first opportunity for A&M to square up against conference foes in the 2014 season.
