Bulldog Bowlers travel to Arlington for SWAC Championship tournament

Normal- With the regular season over, the Lady Bulldog bowling team looks to finish their season on top.

The 2014 tournament is set, and the championship crown will be decided March 21-23 at the Bowling ITC in Arlington, Texas.

The six teams who punched their ticket to the dance with their performances at the conference round ups, include Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Southern, Jackson State, Prairie View and Texas Southern.

The Maroon & White is seeded in the fifth spot with a record of 11-12 narrowly slipping past Southern and Grambling State during the latest roundup.

A&M will be led in their quest for the championship title by their two All-SWAC honorees, senior Camille Collins and sophomore Rebecca Goodwin. Collins and Goodwin earned team honors after bowling 190.2 and 187.2 averages respectively.

A&M will look to advance to their sixth overall championship match and haven't captured the tournament title since their 2010 championship.
