Softball comes up short in first of three vs. Hornets

NORMAL – The Lady Bulldog softball team opened their Southwestern Athletic Conference series versus Alabama State today.

Unfortunately they were unsuccessful in the opening contest falling 9-2 Friday afternoon.

Raven Grubbs led the way for A&M going 2 for 3 with a run. Ashley Gonzales accounted for a run, a hit, and a RBI. Designated hitter Anisa Britt posted a hit in three at bats and a run batted in.

Meaghan Gray pitched a complete game and struck out three batters.

A&M will resume the conference series at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at Lady Bulldog softball field.

Admission is free.
