Softball set for final weekend of the regular season

NORMAL – The Lady Bulldog softball team heads to the reservation for their final Southwestern Athletic Conference series of the regular season.

Alcorn State University will serve as the final opponent of the 2014 regular season in head coach Nakeya Hall's first year.

Viridiana Ramos leads the team with a .328 batting average in 25 contests played. In the circle Anisa Britt and Meaghan Gray each have recorded 44 strikeouts.

Alcorn is 7-34 on the year and 4-10 in the conference Eastern Division. They recently were swept by the University of Memphis in their most recent.

Friday's action will begin at 2 p.m.; Saturday's doubleheader will take place at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
