#AAMUSOFTBALL ends season at Alcorn

Normal- The Lady Bulldog softball season has come to an end.

The Maroon & White won the series 2-1 against the Lady Braves of Alcorn State University, after losing game one over the weekend in Alcorn, Mississippi.

On Friday afternoon, A&M suffered a 5-0 loss knocking them out of contention for the 2014 Southwestern Athletic Conference softball championships. The team needed to complete a three game sweep to qualify for the Eastern Division's fourth spot in post-season play.

On Saturday, the teams participated in the final doubleheader of the season. The Lady Bulldogs were able to grab two wins on the day, after outscoring ASU in two high-powered offensive games. A&M captured victories of 18-11, and 15-9 to end the season on a winning note.

During their last outings, the Maroon & White recorded the highest and third highest run totals 18 & 15 respectively of the 2014 campaign.
