Softball drops series in Jackson

Normal- The Lady Bulldogs softball team dropped a three game series to the Lady Tigers of Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi.

The team lost 4-0 in game one Friday, and 2-0 & 9-0 in Saturday's doubleheader.

This is the first time this season, the Maroon & White were held off the scoreboard in a series versus a single opponent.

Raven Grubbs and Melony Hill totaled two hits apiece in game one while Ashley Gonzales and Eriel Lawson were 1 for 3 at the plate.

Gonzales led the team with two hits while Aleah Garth accounted for the third connection of the game versus Jackson State in game two.

Starting pitcher Anisa Britt posted the lone hit in the final meeting.

A&M will return to the field, when they host rival Alabama State University in a home series. Action versus the Lady Hornets will begin on Friday, April 11, at 3 p.m. on "The Hill".
