Spady: Bryan Brower is 'the guy'

NORMAL -- He was voted team captain by his teammates last season - as a freshman.

He led the team in tackles last year - as a freshman.

He was voted team captain by his teammates this season - as a sophomore.

He leads the team in tackles - as a sophomore.

He wears No. 32 for the Bulldogs.

His name is Bryan Brower and, according to Head Coach James Spady, "There is no doubt Bryan Brower is 'the guy.'"

Brower stands just 5-foot-9 but is 219 pounds of fierce, solid muscle.

Against Cincinnati, Brower had 7 solo tackles and 7 assists for 14 total tackles to lead both teams.

"He played a fantastic football game," Spady said. "I get excited everytime I watch him play."

And so do the Bulldog faithful.

The Bulldogs are off this weekend but return to action Sept. 19 at Prairie View A&M.
