Softball hosts Tuskegee in doubleheader Wednesday afternoon

HUNTSVILLE-- The Alabama A&M University softball team gets ready to play its first home game of the season Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action against Tuskegee.

First pitch for the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the campus of Alabama A&M University at the Lady Bulldog Field.

There is no charge for admission to the games.

AAMU comes into the game 4-11 overall after falling 1-5 at the Lamar University Cardinal Classic on Feb. 23-26.

Tamia Lee-Barbadillo leads the Bulldogs with a .375 batting average. She has 15 hits, a double and five RBIs.

Viridiana Ramos is hitting .205 and has 74 putouts and two assists at first base.

On the mound, Caitlyn Hayden has two wins and has struck out 19 batters.

After Wednesday's doubleheader, the Lady Bulldogs will travel to Southeast Missouri State for the Leon Smith Classic to face Missouri State Mar. 11 and Valparaiso Mar. 12.
