Bethune earns spot on BOXTOROW All-American team

HUNTSVILLE — Yurik Bethune can add a new item to his sterling football resume:

All-American.

The Alabama A&M defensive end was a first-team selection on the 2018 BOXTOROW All-American football team.

Bethune, a 6-foot-4 and 220-pound senior from Mobile, Ala., enjoyed a strong encore season at Alabama A&M, emerging as one of the SWAC's top pass rushers.

As a senior, Bethune led Alabama A&M with 9.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss while forcing three fumbles. He finished 50 tackles, including 27 solo tackles.

Bethune was a first-team selection on the SWAC's all-conference defense.
