HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Coming off a postponement a week ago, Alabama A&M (2-2, 0-1 SWAC) women's basketball travels to Itta Bena, Mississippi to take on Mississippi Valley State (2-3, 0-1 SWAC) on Saturday, January 9. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
 
The Bulldogs enter following a narrow 64-56 loss to defending Southwestern Athletic Conference Champion Jackson State on Saturday, January 2 while MVSU dropped an 85-70 decision at Arkansas – Pine Bluff that same day.

NOTES
Due to contact tracing within State of Alabama guidelines, head coach Margaret Richards will not be on the sidelines for the Bulldogs games at Mississippi Valley State (1/9) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1/11) ... Larry McNeil will serve as interim head coach with assistance from Michael Morgan and Kenya Pye.
