HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Senior
Jason Johnson (Toledo, Ohio) posted a strong Day 1 performance to lead the Bulldogs at the Alabama A&M Golf Classic on Monday, November 8. On the day, A&M shot a 317-299-616 to finish in seventh place.
Johnson shot a 75-72-147 to finish 13-of-42 while freshman
BK Kim (Won Ju, South Korea) and sophomore
Felipe Gomez (Bogota, Columbia) each earned a tie for 22
nd. Kim would get there with a 79-74-153 while Gomez posted rounds of 80-73-153 to round out the top performers.
Alabama State leads the tournament with a 582 following the first 36 holes with Evansville (593), Tennessee State (594), Florida A&M (595) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (596) bunched together to comprise the rest of the top five.
