HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Senior
Jason Johnson (Toledo, Ohio) closed out a strong Alabama A&M Golf Classic on Tuesday, November 9 as the Bulldogs shot 317-299-306-922 to finish 7-of-7.
Johnson moved up four spots to tie for 9-of-42 with a 75-72-74-221 performance while sophomore
Felipe Gomez (Bogota, Columbia) improved three positions to come in at 19
th (80-73-72-225).
Alabama State earned the tournament victory with a score of 879, six strokes ahead of Florida A&M at 885. Evansville (890), Tennessee State (898) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (904) rounded out the top five.
Alabama A&M will round out the fall portion of the season as they head to Birmingham, Alabama for the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Invitational from November 15-16. That tournament will be played at Robert Trent Jones Oxmoor Valley.
