Danice Loney (Melbourne, Fla.) earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Field Athlete of the Week recognition as announced by the league on Friday, February 5.

Loney continued her impressive early season performances as Alabama A&M women's indoor track & field competed at the KMS Open on Sunday, January 31.
Back at the Birmingham CrossPlex, Loney repeated her first place performance in the pole vault from the previous week, this time besting a field of 16 other competitors as she cleared the exact same height of 3.50-meters.
Including a sweep of the men's and women's field and track awards last week, A&M has now earned five of the eight honors so far this season.
The Bulldogs are back in action from February 12-13 when they take part in the Samford Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
