STARKVILLE, Miss. – Alabama A&M women's track & field competed in a modest number of events on the opening day of the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays on Friday, March 26 before preparing to take on a full slate of events tomorrow.
Senior
Terion Davis (Lakeland, Fla.) led a contingent of Bulldogs in limited competition on the opening day as she finished 11-of-40 in the 400-meters with a time of 56.53. Right behind her was sophomore
Fabiona Jackson-Jenkins (Montgomery, Ala.) in 13
th at 56.82 and senior
Sabria Wooten (Dallas, Ga.) added a 13-of-24 finish in the 5,000-meters with a mark of 18:44.90.
A&M's final top performances of Day 1 would all come in the 400-meters as junior
Danielle Chambers (Atlanta, Ga.) led three Bulldogs with an 18-of-40 outing (58.17). She was joined by graduate
Camiya Knight (Birmingham, Ala.) in 26
th (1:00.19) and senior
Diamond Griffin (Miami, Fla.) at 27
th with a time of 1:00.22.
