STARKVILLE, Miss. – Alabama A&M women's track & field notched several impressive performances, including a top five, on the final day of the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays on Saturday, March 27.
Those performances were led by senior
Danice Loney (Melbourne, Fla.) who placed 4-of-19 in the pole vault with a height of 3.65-meters while senior
Akia Slaughter (Smyrna, Ga.) notched a pair of Top-10 finishes. Those included a 9-of-42 outing in the 100-meters (11.98) and a 10-of-60 finish in the 200-meters with a time of 24.22.
Sophomore
Aneisha Ingram (Frankfield, Jamaica) placed 19-of-28 in the 800-meters (2:25.31) with junior
Danielle Chambers (Atlanta, Ga.) coming in 25-of-60 in the 200-meters (25.02). Rounding out the top performances was freshman
Aajiah Jackson (Madison, Ala.) at 26-of-42 in the 100-meters (12.54).
Alabama A&M returns to action next weekend when they travel to Birmingham, Alabama for the UAB Spring Invitational. That meet will run from April 2-3.

Due to heavy lightning in the area, the men's and women's 4x400 relays were cancelled.
