Alabama A&M Puts Seven Game Win Streak On The Line in Showdown of Top SWAC East Teams With Jackson State Visit

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Riding a Division I Era seven-game win streak, Alabama A&M (9-12, 9-7 SWAC) steps on the field this weekend as one of the top teams in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) as they host league leading Jackson State (24-8, 18-0 SWAC) from April 30 through May 2. The series opener is set for 3 p.m. with first pitch of the final two games of the set at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

The Bulldogs have swept their past two series, picking up seven straight wins for the first time since 2010, in the process equaling the longest winning streak since 1996. That has seen them sweep a four-game set from Mississippi Valley State in Huntsville and take three at Alcorn State this past weekend to move into second in the SWAC East Division.

Jackson State, meanwhile, has been a problem no SWAC school has been able to solve as they come into the weekend with an 18-0 mark in the league and impressive 24-8 overall mark. They had won 10 straight prior to dropping an 18-6 decision at Louisiana-Monroe on Wednesday, April 21.

Live stats will not be available but full recaps of all the action will be available on www.AAMUSports.com following the conclusion of each day's action.
