HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – With the close of the 2020-21 campaign, the Alabama A&M Sports Information Office is producing a Season in Review for each of the program's 14 sports that competed during the year.
That series will begin with the fall season before progressing to the winter and spring campaigns. Each week reviews will be released on Mondays and Wednesdays until concluding with the final spring sport on Wednesday, July 28 and a Department Season in Review on Monday, August 2.
Today we take a look back at the 2020-21 Men's Indoor Track & Field season.

2020-21 Season in Review
- Competed in four meets on the season,
- Saw action at KMS Invitational (1/24), KMS Open (1/31), Samford Invitational (2/12), Samford Open (2/13), all at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Individual Achievements/Honors
- Bryant earned SWAC Field Athlete of the Week and McCoy was named SWAC Track Athlete of the Week on January 28. McCoy earned his following a season-opening performance at the KMS Invitational (1/24) in which he placed 9-of-26 in the 60-meter Hurdles (8.55), 21-of-41 in the 400-meters (53:14) and 6-of-10 as part of the 4x400 relay (3:30.39). Bryant, meanwhile, delivered a pair of impressive outings as he went 5-of-18 in the weight throw (15.07m) and 15-of-30 in the shot put (11.37m).
- In addition to that performance, Bryant would also place 8-of-18 in the weight throw (14.71m) and 9-of-19 in the shot put (13.11m) at the Samford Open (2/13) and 11-of-35 in the shot put (12.90m) at the KMS Open (1/31).
- Kyle Graham placed 6-of-32 (50.43) and 16-of-50 (52.04) in the 400-meters at the Samford Open (2/13) and KMS Open, respectively.
- Shawn Guerrier finished 9-of-37 in 200-meters (22.75) at Samford and Demetrius Hurry II was 7-of-18 in the weight throw at the KMS Invitational.
- McCoy added 9-of-25 outing in 600-meters (1:26.07) at KMS Open and 7-of-23 in 60-meter Hurdles (8.45) at Samford.
- Brandon McLaren went 12-of-36 in long jump (6.51m), 12-of-23 in high jump (1.75m) and 14-of-26 in 60-meter Hurdles (8.76) in opener at KMS Invitational. Was 7-of-35 in 60-meter Hurdles (8.68) at KMS Open.
- Tyrese McPhatter finished 10-of-60 in 200-meters (22.39) and 19-of-80 in 60-meters (7.00) at KMS Open. Was 9-of-26 in 60-meters (6.96) and 9-of-24 in 200-meters (22.43) at Samford Invitational (2/12). Was also 7-of-29 in 60-meters (7.069) at Samford Open.
- Donald Weakley placed 8-of-29 in 60-meters (7.070) at Samford Open while Artrayvious Whelchel was 10-of-32 in 400-meters (52.15) and 19-of-37 in 200-meters (23.24).
