DYER, Ind. – Alabama A&M continues to improve from one event to the next, finishing 11-of-17 at the 2022 Valpo Bowling Classic from October 28-30.
 
The Bulldogs went 1-3 in qualifying action on Day 1, winning their opener 878-802 over North Central before falling to host Valparaiso (934-845), Dominican (803-790) and Maryville (981-802). They would then go 2-3 in Traditional play on Day 2.
 
The latter would see them down Belmont Abbey 967-819 and drop decisions to Aurora (981-886) and Kentucky Wesleyan (1,029-859) before beating Upper Iowa by a score of 986-879. They would close the day with an 820-787 defeat at the hands of Wright State.
 
On the final day of action Upper Iowa would get the better of them 1,127-1,122 and BAC claimed a 1,218-1,173 decision. The Bulldogs then rounded out the tournament with a 1,207-1,151 victory over WSU. Overall, they went 4-8 on the weekend.
 
Leading the way was Rose Ugbinada with a 21-of-109 finish behind a pinfall of 189.80 with junior Nariya Jackson (Fort Wayne, Ind.) not far behind in 28^th at 184.80. Tamyra Long came in 35^th (178.20) with junior Montaya Walton (Detroit, Mich.) and Alexis Orchard finishing 42^nd (172.60) and 44^th (171.60), respectively.
 
The Bulldogs are right back in action when they head to Houston, Texas next week for the Tracks Kat Klash. That tournament will be hosted by Sam Houston State at the Emerald Bowl from November 4-6.
