Alabama A&M Women's Basketball Set To Host Murray State For First Time Since 2017

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – After being road warriors for much of the early season Alabama A&M (0-4, 0-0 SWAC) women's basketball returns home for their first game in the brand new, 6,000-seat Event Center as they host Murray State (2-1, 0-0 MVC) on Saturday, November 26. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
 
A&M is coming off of a75-68 loss to Samford (11/17) and a 66-48 defeat at North Alabama (11/22) in their most recent outings while the Racers head south looking for their first road win. They enter at 2-1 having defeated NCAA Division II member Christian Brothers (97-54 on 11/10), dropped a 90-61 decision at Purdue (11/13) and knocked off Chattanooga (59-56 on 11/19).
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
A&M trails the all-time series 9-4 dating back to January 15, 2007 when they dropped a narrow 61-59 decision at Elmore Gymnasium. That was the first of four straight losses to begin the series, and eight of the first 10, before the Bulldogs bounced back to win the next two meetings. Those were a convincing 71-54 decision in Huntsville on December 1, 2017 and a 59-53 victory in Murray on December 1, 2018. Most recently the Racers posted a 66-40 decision in Murray on November 27, 2021.
