Alabama A&M Women's Basketball Back At Elmore With Think Pink Against Mississippi Valley State

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Following a two-game road trip, Alabama A&M (8-13, 6-5 SWAC) women's basketball returns home to the friendly confines of Elmore Gymnasium to take on Mississippi Valley State 3-16, 2-9 SWAC) on Saturday, February 12. Game time is set for 2 p.m.

The game will also serve as Think Pink Day as the team will wear pink shirts to show support for cancer survivors and bring attention to the fight against all forms of the disease. Fans are also encouraged to do the same and drape Elmore in Pink.

The Bulldogs come in having dropped their last two in their swing through Louisiana, falling 65-58 at Southern (2/5) and 81-72 at Grambling (2/7) while MVSU snapped a four-game losing streak with an impressive 93-76 decision over Alcorn State (2/7) last time out.

A&M holds a 22-11 advantage in the all-time series based upon available records dating back to a 58-41 victory on January 6, 2007 in Mississippi. It would be the first of four straight wins, a mark which is equal to the longest in the series by MVSU from February 2, 2013 through February 10, 2014. Since that time the Bulldogs have won 13 of the last 15, including nine in a row since January 8, 2018 with the most recent being a 65-56 victory in Itta Bena earlier this year on January 5.

Fans will be able to follow all of the action with live stats and live video as well as view the digital game program. Additionally, full postgame coverage of all the action will be available on www.AAMUSports.com, the official online home of Alabama A&M Athletics, following the final horn.
