Alabama A&M Softball Set To Host Jackson State In Home Opening Series

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. –Alabama A&M (5-12, 0-2 SWAC) softball will finally see their home field for game action as they host a three-game series against Jackson State (11-10, 2-1 SWAC) from March 19-20.

Originally scheduled for one game on Friday, March 18, what would have been the series opener was shifted to Sunday, March 20 with the teams still playing a doubleheader on Saturday, March 19. Both days will see first pitch at 12 p.m. at Bulldog Field.

The Bulldogs returned to action last weekend following a 10-day layoff and dropped a pair of walk-off decisions at Mississippi Valley State (3/11) by scores of 2-1 and 4-3. JSU, meanwhile comes in having dropped a doubleheader, 7-3 and 3-2, to Northwestern State on March 16.

SERIES HISTORY
Dating back to the 2005 season, Jackson State holds a 29-23 advantage in the all-time series. A&M holds the longest win streak in the series history with nine straight from April 25, 2016 through April 6, 2019.
