Shanique Masters (St. Catherine, Jamaica) led Alabama A&M women's track & field as they closed out the Margaret Simmons Invitational on Saturday, March 26.
Masters finished third in the 400-meters, stopping the clock at 58.76, junior
Fabiona Jackson-Jenkins (Montgomery, Ala.) was 15-of-35 and crossed the line in 1:02.00 with freshman
De'Ajene Johnson (Detroit, Mich.) following closely behind with a 18-of-35 finish and in a time of 1:02.40 in the same event.
Graduate
Jairyn Russell (Birmingham, Ala.) added to the Bulldogs performance finishing 15-of-44 stopping the clock at 12.59 in the 100-meters while freshman
Taylor Wingo was 21-of-56 with a time of 2:31.10 in the 800-meters
The Bulldogs will return to action on April 1-2 as they head to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Hilltopper Relays hosted by Western Kentucky.
