HUNTSVILLE – The Alabama A&M women's tennis program will hit the road this weekend for a road contest against Mercer on Saturday, January 28 at 10 a.m. held at the Randy Stephens Tennis Center for their third match of the spring.
The Bulldogs have split a pair of games so far this spring, falling to Lipscomb on the road (Jan. 20), before defeating Tennessee State 4-3 last Sunday. A&M won four singles pairings against the Tigers after dropping the doubles point, with individual wins from
Jasmine Boyd (Marion, Ind.),
Yana Dhamija (Gurugram, India),
Neha Ghare (Pune, India), and
Alicia Owegi (Nairobi, Kenya).
In the last meeting between the two programs, Mercer swept Alabama A&M, and have won three straight parings dating back to 2019.
The Bears last took the court on the road at Florida State last weekend, falling 7-0, after. dropping their season-opener to Kennesaw State 4-3 (Jan. 16). The matchup on Saturday will serve as the first home match for Mercer on the year.
