HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ^__ Traveling to Daytona Beach for just the third time in program history, Alabama A&M softball (9-7) will face Bethune-Cookman in the Southwestern Athletic Conference opener with a three-game series at Sunnyland Park.
 
The series opens Friday at 1 p.m. ET, while games two and three will be a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Live coverage for all three games of the series can be found through live stats or watch live on the CatEye Network.
 
The Bulldogs are still looking for their first win in the all-time series, including dropping both previous games inside Sunnyland Park.
 
Alabama A&M is looking to win its conference opener after falling in the 2022 opener, along with looking to sweep their first SWAC opening series since 2019. Last season A&M dropped a doubleheader to Mississippi Valley State to open SWAC play. The Bulldogs have not won back-to-back SWAC openers since the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
 
The Bulldogs enter the weekend series on a two-game win streak after knocking off Southern 12-11 in the final game of the Defend the Bluff Tournament, hosted by the Jaguars. Alabama A&M went 3-1 in the tournament, exploding at the plate, hitting 12 home runs, and scoring 42 runs.
