HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women's basketball team looks to return to the win column on Monday as the Bulldogs meet rival Alabama State in the annual Bridge Builder Classic in Mobile, Ala. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. from the Mitchell Center on the campus of the University of South Alabama.
Alabama A&M (7-9 overall, 2-2 SWAC) fell to Jackson State on Saturday, 70-41. Meanwhile, Alabama State (1-14, 1-3) could not slow down a late run from Alcorn State in falling, 49-42,on Saturday.

Darian Burgin recorded nine points and five rebounds as Alabama A&M could not recover from a 41-25 halftime deficit.
Shyma Ward led four Hornet players in double figures with 17 points and six boards. Ayana Emmanuel tossed in 15 points and four rebounds, while Jayla Crawford tallied 12 points and seven boards. DaKiyah Sanders chipped in 11 points as Alabama State shot 46.4 percent from the floor.

Kaylah Turner paced the Bulldogs with 12 points each. Simmons recorded five boards and two steals, while Turner grabbed three rebounds, with one assist and a steal as Alabama A&M fell to Jackson State 70-41 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs finished with 20 points in the paint and 15 bench points, while shooting 23.6 percent from the field.

Alabama State is coming off a 49-42 loss to Alcorn State on Saturday.
