HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women's basketball team opens Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Saturday with a trip to Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Tip-off against the Golden Lions is set for 3 p.m. from the H.O Clemmons Arena.
Alabama A&M (5-7) will look to to end a three-game losing streak and win it's first road game of the season. Meanwhile, Arkansas-Pine Bluff (5-8) is coming off victory, defeating McNeese State, 103-87, on Dec. 31.

Amiah Simmons recorded a game-high 22 points, six rebounds and three steals as the Bulldogs fell to Central Arkansas, 65-59, on Friday, Dec. 29.

Alabama A&M shot 31.7 from the field and grabbed 41 rebounds. The Bulldogs got 26 points in the paint and 14 bench points in the loss.

Maya Peat posted a double-double as Arkansas-Pine Bluff rolled past McNeese State 103-87 on Dec. 31.
The Golden Lions had five players score in double figures, led by Coriah Beck, who had 32 points, four assists, four steals, two blocks and one assist. Peat helped out with a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Zaay Green added 18 points, nine assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocks.Â
UAPB had 56 points in the paint. While having 30 points off 28 McNeese State turnovers.
