MONTGOMERY | The Alabama A&M University bowling team placed first at the Hornet classic, finishing with a 9-1 record over the weekend. The Bulldogs were paced by Tamyra Long and Rose Ugbinada's 904 and 903 pins.
The tournament was hosted by Alabama State University, and attended by Jackson State University, Southern University, Florida A&M University and Grambling University.
The Maroon and White dropped a match of matches to Southern University and Alabama State. Four of five Bulldogs found themselves in the top 15 of the scoring lists, with Long and Ugbinada in fifth and sixth place respectively, and Long being named to the All-tournament team.
