HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women's basketball team seek its fourth season sweep of a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent on Saturday when the Bulldogs return home to face rival Alabama State. Tip-off during the Maroon & White Pride Night game is set for 2 p.m. from the AAMU Event Center and streamed on Bulldogs All-Access.
Alabama A&M (14-13 overall, 9-6 SWAC), which has season sweeps of Mississippi Valley State, Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman, is riding a four-game winning streak and currently sit fifth in the conference standings and one game back of fourth-place Southern. Alabama State (3-23, 3-12) is coming into the game on a seven-game skid.

Alabama A&M got 12 points from Cordasia Harris and nine points from DaKiyah Sanders in the loss.

Alabama A&M surrendered just 21 second-half points as the Bulldogs shot 39 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the foul line.
Simmons, who earned the SWAC's Player of the Week honor, led the way with 18 points, while Wilson recorded a double-double of 13 rebounds and 12 points. Dixon came off the bench to pour in 14 points and
Jayla Cody grabbed 10 boards.

The Hornets were held to 11 points in the third quarter as Bethune-Cookman used a 32-point period to pull away for the 84-43 win on Monday night.
Harris and Dunn each registered nine points as the Hornets could not overcoming shooting 25.5 percent from the floor.
