COVINGTON, Ga. | The Bulldogs were set to face North Carolina A&T in a matinee game for their final contest of the second annual Leonard Moody HBCU Softball Invitational, but forecasted inclement weather canceled the third day of competition.

Alabama A&M moves to 6-1 on the season after going 2-1 in the invitational, dropping a close 2-1 decision in the opening game against South Carolina State, but picking up wins against Fort Valley State and Maryland Eastern Shore.

AAMU was also scheduled to face Coppin State in a night game on Saturday, but facility technical issues cancelled the remaining evening games.

The Bulldogs return home to face Albany State in the Rocket City Softball Showcase at Toyota Stadium. 13 NCAA Softball programs and 12 local high schools will play over the course of five days. Tickets for the Showcase start at $20 per day and can be purchased here.
