THE HILL | The Alabama A&M Softball team is set to travel to Texas for six consecutive games. The Maroon and White will play a three-game series with Incarnate Word on February 28 and March 1, before participating in the Longhorn Invitational.

AAMU (7-3) hits the road after winning the final game of a three-game series with Oakland University on Wednesday. In the 11-1 victory, Charity Bibbs scored three runs, while Ariana Montiel and Tori Green each picked up two runs apiece.

Incarnate Word (7-7) looks to get back into the winning column after going 1-1 against St. Thomas this past weekend. UIW picked up victories over Michigan State and the University of Pittsburgh. The Bulldogs will play the Cardinals at 2 p.m., 4:30 and Noon.

During the Longhorn Invitational, the Bulldogs will take on South Florida, New Mexico State and Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent, University of Texas. USF (13-4) has picked up wins against, Florida Golf Coast, Georgia Southern, Penn State, University of Louisville and most recently, Troy University. The contest with the Bulldogs is set for 6 p.m. on March 1.

New Mexico State looks to get back into the win column after dropping three straight games to California Baptist, University of Florida and Arizona State. The Maroon and White will face off with the Aggies on March 2 at 10 a.m.

No. 2 Texas, look to continue its four game winning streak. The host team, currently 15-1, has only fallen to Stanford in the Hillenbrand Invitational so far this season. The Bulldogs will play the Longhorns on March 2 at 3 p.m. Fans can watch the game vis SEC Network+.
