Bowling Finishes Fourth at SWAC East Round-Up

D'Iberville, Miss | The Alabama A&M University bowling team placed fourth at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Round-Up, finishing with an 18-10 record over the weekend. The Bulldogs were paced by Rose Ugbinada and Tamyra Long's 2,561 and 2,603 total over the Round-up. The tournament, hosted at Cypress Lane was attended by all eight teams in the conference.

The Bulldogs, who placed first in the SWAC West Round-Up, saw three bowlers in the top 15 of the scoring list, with Ugbinada, Long and Nila Dulcio taking consecutive places starting at the ninth position. The Maroon and White dropped three matches to both Prairie View A&M and Southern University, a pair to Alabama State and one to both Jackson State and Texas Southern.

All conference teams are scheduled to return to the lanes to compete at the 2025 SWAC Bowling Championship set for March 21-23 at the Bowling ITRC located in Arlington, Texas. The Bulldogs will take to the lanes Valentine's Day weekend at the James Brown Invitational in Baltimore, Maryland.
