Women’s Tennis Signs Nardine Salem

THE HILL | Alabama A&M University women's tennis team welcomes Nardine Salem, head coach Willis Mbandi announced on Wednesday.

The Cairo, Egypt native has competed in various ITF Tournaments and has represented Egypt in the national sector. Salem was one of the top three ranked juniors in Egypt while playing U14 and U16's. She has been ranked as high as 1147 in ITF rankings.

"I'm excited about the addition of Nardine to our program," coach Mbandi said. "She will bring so much to our team both on and off the court. She is a fierce competitor and works very hard. I think that combination goes a long way in college tennis and look for her to contribute so much to our team once she arrives on campus".

The AAMU women's tennis team is currently 3-1 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play, picking up wins against Mississippi Valley, Southern, and Grambling State.
