Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama A&M Women's tennis team finished the second day of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tennis Pod II by claiming a 4-0 win over Prairie View A&M on Saturday Afternoon.
The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point after a pair of breadsticks on courts one and three. On the opening court, the duo of Yana Dhamija and Alicia Owegi defeated PVAMU's Andrea Pascual Blanca and Daniela Garcia while court three saw the win come under Naomi Blanks and Ntokozo Zungu's belt. Though court two went unfinished, the Maroon and White were ahead 4-3.
Looking for just three more, the latter four courts saw the Bulldogs take the first set, with Valentine Abide Talaki and Sofio Sotelo Raya doing so in bagel style on courts three and five respectively. Sotelo Raya was the first to add a singles point, topping Precious Ugochukwu in the second set with a 6-1 decision. Talaki claimed her win after defeating Garcia, 6-3 in the second frame. Needing just one more point to clinch, Hannah Nagpall secured the Bulldog victory by defeating PVAMU's Yasmin El Fadilil, 6-3, 6-1 on court six.
