TUSKEGEE, Ala.| The Alabama A&M University women's tennis team aw a 7-0 victory in their final regular season match against the Tuskegee Golden Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point after Gabrielle Henderson and Sofia Sotelo Raya defeated Gabirelle Blanks and Dayna Jackson in breadstick fashion on court two. Naomi Blanks and Hannah Nagpall secured the point after knocking off Gabrielle Geary and Taylor Ford, 6-3, at third doubles. Though the opening court went unfinished, Yana Dhamija and Alicia Owegi led the Golden Tigers 5-2 at the time of its abandonment.
In the singles session, Sotelo Raya quickly added another point to the Bulldog tally after picking up a bakery win over Jackson in a 6-0, 6-1 decision. Dhamija followed suit, adding a win on court six after defeating Geary 6-2, 6-0. Needing just one point to clinch, Blanks topped Ford, 6-3, 6-0. The teams decided to play out, where the Maroon and White claimed wins on the first three courts. Though Owegi dropped the first set, she rebounded, winning the second two frame 6-3, 6-1. Valentine Abide Talaki added a 7-5, 6-3 win at second singles while Henderson won a three-set decision (6-1, 3-6, 6-1) on court three.

The Bulldogs take a quick break before heading to the 2025 Southwestern Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 18th. The Bulldogs are set to face the Prairie View A&M Panthers at 9 a.m. at the City Park Tennis Center.
