Box Score JACKSON, Miss. | The Alabama A&M University women's tennis team sailed past the Jackson State Tigers in a 4-1 decision on Tuesday morning.
The Bulldogs came in strong, picking up the doubles point after Naomi Blanks and Ntokozo Zungu defeated JSU's Zofia Dziewiecka and Daniella Tovar 6-3 at doubles three.Though the Tigers won court one, the Bulldogs pulled through as Sofia Sotelo Raya and Gabrielle Henderson won a 7-5 decision on court two.
Sotelo Raya claimed a 6-3 straight set victory at singles five to put two in the Bulldog column. Jackson State claimed their only victory at second singles but AAMU quickly added two more, first from Zungu on court 1 where she defeated Paula Corbalan, 6-2, 7-6 before Henderson Clinched the contest for the Bulldogs, winning 7-6, 6-2 on court four, leaving the remaining courts unfinished.
