THE HILL | Alabama A&M University head women's basketball coach Dawn Thornton announced the program will hold their second annual toiletry drive, in conjunction with a meet & greet of the team, on June 21 at the AAMU Event Center.
"We are committed to serving more than just our team, we're here to support our community" Thornton said. "This toiletry drive is one way we can give back and stand alongside those in need, because we believe we are stronger when we uplift one another."
"Championship culture starts with character, and we are dedicated to showing up for our community the same way we show up for each other- with our heart, hustle and service" she continued. " We invite our Bulldog family and the entire community to join us in making a difference."
The toiletry drive is set from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the AAMU Event Center. The women's basketball program is asking for items to donate such as toiletries, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant and hand sanitizer. Additional donations will also be accepted. For queastions and more information, contact coachtaamu@gmail.com.
