THE HILL | Alabama A&M University softball head coach
Brian Daley announced on Thursday the 2026 schedule, highlighted by a mix of tournaments, home-and-home series, and a full slate of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) competition.
The Bulldogs open the 2026 campaign on February 7–8 at the River City Classic in Jackson, Miss., facing Arlington Baptist, Alcorn State, Dallas Christian, and Grambling State.
Alabama A&M will continue non-conference play at the HBCU Classic in Covington, Ga. (Feb. 13-15), meeting Howard, Fort Valley State, South Carolina State, Coppin State, and Maryland Eastern Shore.
The Bulldogs' home opener is February 17-18 when AAMU plays host to Southern Indiana at the Bulldog Softball Field. The opening month also includes the HBCU Spring Classic, hosted by Alabama State, in Montgomery and a pair of midweek home games against Oakwood before closing the month with a road doubleheader at East Tennessee State.
Conference play begins on March 6, as Alabama A&M welcomes Bethune-Cookman to Huntsville for a three-game SWAC series. Other key home conference series include Jackson State (March 13–14), Alabama State (March 27–28), and Mississippi Valley State (April 10–11).
The Bulldogs will travel for league series at Mississippi Valley State, Florida A&M, Jackson State, and Bethune-Cookman to close the regular season.
In addition to SWAC play, Alabama A&M's 2026 slate features non-conference matchups against Tuskegee, Detroit, Rust, and Memphis, providing a competitive blend of regional and national opponents.
