THE HILL | For the third consecutive week, the Alabama A&M University women's basketball team received votes in the CollegeInsider.com mid-major top 25. The Bulldogs received 20 votes and is the lone Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) program receiving votes.
Alabama A&M is riding a 14-game winning streak and is 18-9 overall, 14-1 in league play. The Bulldogs rank tops in the conference in several statistical categories, including free-throw attempts (sixth nationally), scoring defense (17
th nationally), free throws made per game (17
th nationally), field goal percentage defense (23
rdnationally), field goal percentage, fouls per game, rebound margin, scoring margin.
The Maroon & White close out the regular season with three consecutive home games, starting on Saturday against rival Alabama State. The Bulldogs are seeking a season sweep of the Hornets for the third straight season. Tip-off for the Senior Day contest is scheduled for 2 p.m. from the AAMU Event Center and streamed on SWAC TV.
