Lady Bulldogs cross-country team finishes 8th in SWAC championships

CLINTON, Miss. -- Paced by Keanna McIntyre's top 25 finish, the Alabama A&M cross country team finished eighth in the SWAC cross country championships.

McIntyre toured the 5K course at Choctaw Trails in 21:07.18 to finish 22nd. Teammate Brianna Williams was 31st in 22:05.97.

Estelle Esperance had a 41st-place finish in 22:48.82. Her soccer teammate Andrea Chacon was 47th in 23:11.17; Joi Ballard came in 49th in 23:43.30; Taylor Sunkett was 55th in 25:05.29 and Demesha Bell was 63rd in 29:11.82.

Alabama State won the title, ahead of Prairie View A&M, Texas Southern, Grambling State, Mississippi Valley State, Jackson State, Alcorn State, Alabama A&M, Southern and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
