HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Having not competed in a month's time, Alabama A&M men's golf got back on the course on Monday, March 22 as they hosted the Alabama A&M Spring Classic at Robert Trent Jones Hampton Cove. Following the first two rounds they in sixth place having shot a 340-331-671 over the first 36 holes.
Sophomore
Torrance Allen II (Ellenwood, Ga.) led the Bulldogs as he tied for 24
th out of 35 competitors after shooting rounds of 79-78-157 while junior
Jason Johnson (Toledo, Ohio) finished in 30
th at 82-80-162.
Junior
Conner McMillan (Oxford, Ind.) sits in 32
nd (83-84-167), followed by seniors
Nylan Washington (Decatur, Ga.) and
Reginald Brown (Jonesboro, Ga.) in 33
rd and 35
th, respectively, with scores of 96-89-185 and 106-97-203.
Alabama State leads the field with a Day 1 score of 588 and is followed closely by DePaul (590) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (591) with Miles (598), Snead State Community College (612) and the Bulldogs rounding out the standings.
