HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M men's golf looks to wrap up the 2021-22 regular season less than two hours north of campus when they take part in the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate from April 11-12. Hosted by Tennessee State, that tournament will be held in Old Hickory, Tennessee just outside of Nashville.
This year's tournament will be played on the
President's Reserve Course at Hermitage Golf Club located at 3939 Old Hickory Blvd. Recognized by
Golf Digest as one of the Top-10 courses in Tennessee, it winds through 300 acres of wetlands and along the banks of the Cumberland River. It can play up to 7,200 yards depending upon layout.
The tournament features 13 teams ranging from Tennessee, Ohio, Arkansas, Illinois, Florida and Virginia. This year's field includes Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Belmont, Evansville, John A. Logan College, Longwood, Murray State, North Carolina A&T, Stetson, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee-Martin, Wright State in addition to host Tennessee State and A&M.
Slated for 54 holes, teams will play 36 of those on Monday, April 11 beginning at 8 a.m. before wrapping with the final 18 the following day. Prior to the first tee-time on the opening day there will be a moment of silence remembering the student-athletes and coaches lost in the University of the Southwest bus crash earlier this spring.
