HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Following a two-week hiatus Alabama A&M women's cross country won't have to go far to get back in gear as they travel (a couple miles) to the North Alabama Showcase on Friday, September 16. Race time is set for 8:15 a.m. in Huntsville, Alabama.
Hosted by North Alabama, the event will be held at John Hunt Park and feature 37 intercollegiate teams and 825 runners (men's and women's). This year's field will include Alabama, Alabama State, Alcorn State, Auburn, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Birmingham-Southern, Bryan, Calhoun Community College, Chattanooga, Covenant, Cumberland (Tenn.), Eastern Florida, Emmanuel (Ga.), Florida Gulf Coast, Gadsden State Community College, Georgia, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Lamar, Lee (Tenn.), Memphis, Mississippi College, Mississippi State, New Orleans, host North Alabama, Queens University of Charlotte, Samford, South Alabama, South Florida, Southern Indiana, Southern Mississippi, Troy, Wallace State, Alabama-Birmingham, Central Florida, Western Kentucky and William Carey.
With that high powering field, the event is easily one of the most impressive on the slate this season and will be run on the course that will host the 2022 NCAA South Region Championship.
