SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. __ The Alabama A&M men's golf team is 11th after two rounds of play at the Bobby Nichols Invitational this week, hosted by Tennessee Tech at the Sevierville Golf Club.
The Bulldogs turned in a round of 311 on Monday, pushing their two-day total to a 34-over-par, 610, falling from a tie at 9th after day one to 11th at the close of day two, slightly behind Northern Iowa with a team total of 601. Carson-Newman remains in the lead heading into day three, shooting a combined 566, good for 10-under-par.
A&M continues to be led by
Felipe Gomez Lopez, who is tied for 31st at 148 and four-over-par.
Niall Bagnall moved up over 20 slots and ends day two tied for 37th at five-over (149), followed by
Jason Johnson who shot an 80 in round two, placing him in a tie for 63rd at 10-over (154).
Juan Ray Gaitan (159) and
Kim Byeongkwan (166) round out the individual rankings for the Bulldogs, at 76th and 83rd respectively.
The program will wrap up the three-day event on Tuesday with the final round of the Invitational.
