BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ^__ Alabama A&M women's tennis will enter this weekend's Southwestern Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament as the No. 4 seed, announced by the league today. The tournament features the league's top six teams at the conclusion of regular season play.
 
The Bulldogs (6-3 SWAC) landed fourth in the bracket and will face fifth seeded Prairie View A&M (4-5 SWAC) in the quarterfinal round on Friday.
 
Florida A&M enters the postseason as the top seed after completing an undefeated slate in league action and will get the winner of the matchup between the Bulldogs and Panthers.
 
Alabama State claimed the No. 3 seed (7-2 SWAC) and will battle No. 5 seed Alcorn State is the No. 5 seed (5-4 SWAC) for the right to the semifinals against No. 2 seed Jackson State (8-1 SWAC).
  
The 2023 SWAC Women's Tennis Tournament is scheduled to be played on April 21-23 at City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans, La.
