HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Sanyae Gibson paced the Alabama A&M University women's cross country team on Friday morning as the Bulldogs competed at the Southern Showcase, hosted by Jacksonville State, at John Hunt Park.

With more than 450 entries on the 5K course, Gibson finished 268
th, nearly matching her season-best time as she crossed the finish line in 20:14.36.
Taylor Wingo placed 287
th in 20:32.63, while
Minka Isom was 314
th, recording a time of 21:08.01.
Brianna Samuels (317
th) crossed in 21:11.33 and
De'Ajene Johnson (442
nd) rounded out the team in 30:35.85.

Alabama A&M finished 37
th out of 49 teams, registering 1,164 points. Alabama won the meet with 52 points, followed by Louisville (68), Georgia Tech (86), Belmont (116), Vanderbilt (125), Kentucky (185), Samford (225), Mississippi State (235), Lee (272) and Chattanooga (331) rounded out the top 10.
