THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's and women's cross country programs open their season on Friday morning at the Belmont Opener in Nashville, Tenn.
 
"We are excited about this upcoming year," Alabama A&M head coach Andrew Murphy said. "We had a good season a year ago and we are looking to continue to build off that. We have five meets this season, with two in Nashville and one in Huntsville."
 
After Friday's meet at Percy Warner Park – Vaughn's Creek Cross Country Course in Nashville, Alabama A&M will compete in the Southern Showcase at John Hunt Park on Sept. 12. Eight days later, the Bulldogs will participate in the Michael Pretorius Invitational in Nashville. 
 
A trip to Spartanburg, S.C. marks the fourth meet of the season at the Upstate Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 18. 
 
Alabama A&M closes out its season on Oct. 27 at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Fla.
