Alabama A&M Athletics

A four-year standout at Alabama A&M from 2002-05, Alexandria “Alex” Brazelton Boyd helped lead the Bulldogs to four consecutive SWAC championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. The outside hitter was named the 2005 SWAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, earned two All-SWAC Second Team selections and served as team captain during her senior season. She was also named Alabama A&M Volleyball MVP in 2005 and the university’s Top Athlete in 2006. A summa cum laude graduate, Boyd later returned as a graduate assistant coach and contributed to SWAC championship teams in 2008 and 2009.
