A three-time Black Nationals All-American, Lorie Reid Fuller established herself as one of the most accomplished swimmers in Alabama A&M history. Specializing in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard freestyle, she held seven pool records and seven Black National Swimming records. Fuller was named Black College Most Valuable Player in 1986, Alabama A&M MVP in 1986 and 1987 and Swimmer of the Year in 1987. She qualified for NCAA national competition in 1984 and 1985, served as co-captain in 1986 and team captain in 1987 and 1988. Fuller earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Alabama A&M.
